A new Multi-Level Approval System is implemented in cytric for Basic and Enhanced Approval System (BAS and EAS). For the business case that first an Approver X and secondly an Approver Y have to approve a booking, depending on the rules of usage for this booking new configuration possibilities are available in the TMS.
In the case of two approval levels, for the First Approver X, the “Approval” is done by a review and an active forwarding of the trip request to the Second Approver Y. The forwarding will be done automatically when the First Approver X uses the “Approve” button in the approval E-Mail (or in cytric). Only the Second Approver has to actively approve the booking.
The new multilevel approval process is implemented for the BAS and EAS and the approval types ‘Pre-Approved’ and ‘To be Approved’ and all approval workflows (online, imported offline bookings, cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) and Air Options).
Information related to the Seat Preferences for Rail VDA may be entered as Perfect PNR(tm) Elements
26/05/2013
The PNR Data value for seat preferences, such as compartment, type of seat and further characteristics, may be edited as data value in a Perfect PNR(tm) Element for Rail VDA. The data values displayed for selection in the TMS Section for Perfect PNT(tm) settings are:
Rail Seat Type
Rail Seat Characteristics
Rail Seat Extended Type
During the booking workflow cytric forwards the seat preferences to the Rail VDA. If the seat preference is available and confirmed by the Rail VDA, cytric writes this information as a Perfect PNR(tm) element into the passive PNR. If the Rail VDA replies with a different seat reservation (due to lack of availability of the preferred seat), cytric overwrites the requested seat preference with the confirmed seat reservation by the Rail VDA.
At this point this is only available for SNCF since SNCF is the only Rail VDA transmitting the detailed seat information back to cytric.
For all other Rail VDA cytric writes the requested seat preference as a Perfect PNR(tm) element in the passive PNR, regardless of the seat which has actually been booked by the Rail VDA, since cytric does not receive this information. Yet, after further developments on the site of the Rail VDAs cytric has already implemented the possibility to transfer the information into the passive PNR .
Option to Contact the Partner Travel Agency via cytric
26/05/2013
A new TMS setting is available providing the possibility for cytric users to send an email with a booking change request to the Partner Travel Agency directly from cytric. If activated, 'Contact Travel Agency' links will be displayed on several cytric pages, opening an email entry form. The email to the Partner Travel Agency contains free text entered by the user together with all relevant request/booking data. In case the change of a cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) offline segment is requested, Free Data Field information is included as well. Therefore, communication with the Partner Travel Agency is streamlined and structured, saving time for both, cytric users and travel agents.
Per default, this setting will be deactivated for all existing any new cytric systems.
'Picture ID' was added as a third form of identification for Pay as You Fly fares. The cytric Administrator may administer in the TMS which form of ID the user may choose during the booking workflow on the flight booking page.
Seat Preference for SNCF and NVS seat map to be defined in the cytric User Profile
26/05/2013
It is now possible to define seat preferences for SNCF and NVS in 1st and Standard Category in the Personal Preferences of the cytric User Profile. The defined preferences will be preselected in the seat map when a rail booking is done in cytric. In case a booking is done for multiple travelers only the category and type may be preselected, Personal Preferences will not be considered in this case.
The cytric Administrator may define in the User Profile Administration of the TMS whether users may store seat preferences in their profiles or not.
The cytric Administrator is provided the possibility to set up locations in the TMS which are not displayed to the cytric users. Therefore, all relevant settings for locations may be configured in a system before these locations are available for selection to a user.
Enhancement of the TMS Settings for 'Dynamic Fare Options' and 'Settings to Store the Lowest Fare'
26/05/2013
Settings for ‘Dynamic Fare Options’ and ‘Settings to Store the Lowest Fare’ are further enhanced to even better reflect corporate travel policies. The cytric Administrator can now configure more detailed settings for travel duration in regard to service class selection options. Furthermore, the cytric Administrator may define more detailed settings to store the lowest fare in regard to the selected flight.
Do not Show Out-of-Policy Service Classes for Rail
26/05/2013
It is now possible to configure Out-of-Policy service classes in the TMS to be displayed to the user during the booking workflow as
shown, but not selectable or
not shown at all.
For this purpose further possibilities to edit the Multi Fare Display Settings for rail were added. These settings are now also administrable per location, division and Travel Policy Group.

New RTM Texts for Subject Line and Title of the „Booking Confirmation“ eMail
26/05/2013
In case a cytric system is configured in a way that a 'to be approved' approval system is in place and a cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) request is sent for approval automatically only when an active booking exists for all requested segments, the subject line and title of the Booking Confirmation email are adjusted as follows:
Subject line: Trip Request sent for Approval – ( Date) – (cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) request ID)
Title: Trip Request for (traveler’s first and last name) sent for Approval
This change does not affect any other types of approval system configurations.
Cancellation of a Complete cytric Travel Wizzard™ Request with Related Bookings and Air Options in One Step
26/05/2013
With the new additional option: ‚Cancel All Trips and Remove Complete Request‘ the user may cancel and remove related cytric Travel Wizzard™ requests and active bookings as well as Air Options within one step.
With this DT it is possible for cytric to transmit changes for a Germanwings VDA booking into the passive PNR in the GDS. For this cytric removes the old passive segment in the passive PNR in the GDS and replaces it with the new passive segment holding the data for the newly booked Germanwings VDA flight.
Germanwings VDA: Booking of Baggage in Case of Fare Mix
26/05/2013
When booking a Germanwings VDA flight with a fare combination, the booked fare for the outbound flight may have a different baggage fee than the return flight, or maybe even no baggage fee at all. To ensure the right baggage fee is charged for each fare type the select box ‘Book for all flights’ is going to be displayed but not selectable. The user must manually select the baggage option per segment (or section) that should be added to the booking.
New cytric interface: cytric Companion for Data Validation (cCDV)
26/05/2013
i:FAO is pleased to introduce a new cytric interface, the cytric Companion for Data Validation (cCDV). This companion provides customers with the functionality to validate Free Data Field (FDF) values and key travel expense data with an external system in realtime before a cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) request or online booking is completed. Through this, it is e.g. possible to validate cost center and project numbers against a huge database as well as perform cross-validation checks to determine whether a travel period is still within the time frame of a project.
In the TMS, the cCDV may be configured separately for specific locations/divisions, FDFs displayed during the cytric Travel Wizzard(tm) and online booking workflows, and services (e.g. air, hotel, car, rail). If the cCDV is activated for a location/division/FDF/service, a web service request containing all relevant FDFs and booking data will be sent to the external system for each new/changed trip request or booking as soon as the user enters a value and proceeds to the next workflow page. The validation takes place in the external system and the validation result is sent back to cytric within the same session. If the data validation was successful, the user may proceed and the request/booking may be completed. In case the data validation failed, the cytric Administrator may define the consequence for a failed validation separately for each value, i.e. whether only a warning message should be displayed to the user or if the workflow should be stopped until the user changes the input to a valid entry.
Please note that data validation is only available for travelers with a cytric User Profile.
PCI: Implement Truncate/Mask Option of Credit Cards for cytric Companion for Offline Booking (cCOB) and cytric Companion for Travel Wizzard(tm) (cCTW)
26/05/2013
To further enhance data security, cCOB and cCTW are enhanced with the possibility to activate a truncated transmission of credit card numbers. If credit card numbers are truncated, several digits are replaced by an 'X'. Per default, the companions will be set up with truncated transmission activated, for deactivation please contact cytric Global Services. Credit card numbers will be truncated according to the algorithm defined for masking credit card numbers in the Corporate Credit Card Administration of the TMS for following attributes:
PaymentAndDeposit.CreditCard/@number
PaymentAndDeposit.CreditCard/@cvn
ElectronicTicketingID/CardInformation/@Number (if type ElectronicTicketingID/@type="CREDITCARD" or "BANKCARD" is present)
PCI: Implement Truncate/Mask Option of Check Response for cytric Companion for Profile Synchronization (cCPS)
26/05/2013
The cCPS provides et al. a check response functionality for external systems, this may be used e.g. to check user roles or travel arranger assignments of cytric User Profiles. If an external system sends a check (senderProfileAction="CHECK") request to a cytric system, cytric then responds with the complete User Profile (recipientAction="PROFILE") including credit card information, if available.
To further enhance data security, the cCPS is enhanced with the possibility to activate a truncated transmission of credit card numbers in such an outbound check response. If credit card numbers are truncated, several digits are replaced by an 'X'. Per default, the companion will be set up with truncated transmission activated, for deactivation please contact cytric Global Services. Credit card numbers will be truncated according to the algorithm defined for masking credit card numbers in the Corporate Credit Card Administration of the TMS for following attributes:
RailFoidCreditCard/@number
CreditCard/@number
DELETE, MODIFY, and CREATE requests which cytric sends to external systems are not changed.
After successful certification by the provider, Budget will be available as a new Car VDA in cytric. All functionalities established with other car VDAs will be supported, such as delivery and collection as well as special equipment offered by Budget. The cytric Web Services (cWS), cytric Companion for Booking Data (cCBD), and cytric Companion for Travel on Demand (cCODT) support Budget VDA.
APIS / TSA Data Protection Advice for a Single Trip with More than One PNR with APIS / TSA Data
26/05/2013
If a single trip with more than one PNR, for which APIS / TSA Data are required, is completed only one single page for all required APIS / TSA Data grouped per traveler will be shown. All SSR elements will be updated in the relevant PNRs accordingly.
A new, high-performance interface for Avis VDA will be put into operation with cytric Release 12.5. Apart from one Perfect PNR(tm) element (please see below), no adjustments are necessary in cytric systems. All established functionalities remain and are supplemented with following new functionalitites:
Special equipment 'Navigational System' is supported.
Now, gross prices are transmitted, this improves comparability with rates of other rental car providers.
Directly after booking completion, the current booking data is requested from Avis, making it e.g. possible to check whether special equiptment has benn confirmed.
Please note: The new Avis interface does not support the element "Address" as a Perfect PNR(tm) for VDA. Instead a new element "Customer Address" is used which contains more detailed address attributes. In case the former element "Address" is set up in a cytric System, it must be replaced by the new element "Customer Address" by the cytric Administrator.
The field 'Visa Number' is enhanced in the cytric User Profile and on page 'Data Protection Advice' to now hold 15 characters instead of only 9. Therefore, it is now possible to store a B1 visa for an extended stay (over 3 months) in the USA.
Enhance cytric Mobile Companion for Capturing Receipts
26/05/2013
cytric Mobile Companion now provides functionality which allows to capture and transfer receipt data to cytric Expense. Similar to cytric Trip Data it is possible to take over such receipts when creating an Expense Statement.
