To mark the launch of cytric R10 we have commissioned ten special product enhancements of additional user benefit, which will be featured in this release note.
With the new cytric Release the air booking workflow is enhanced so that Single Open Jaws and Double Open Jaws can now be requested immediately from the Air Booking page. Until now such requests could only be made via the option "Multiple Segments".
CONNECTION OF FULL DAY DISPLAY WITH THE CYTRIC GRID PRICING™
11/07/2010
With the new cytric Release 10.0 the Full Day Display is directly connected with the Grid Pricing™.
That way it is ensured that all options from the Full Day Display will be displayed in the Grid Pricing™ after a new availability request from the Full Day Display.
The cytric Fare Breaker™ provides the user with the possibility of prompting the system to research alternative fare options with one mouse-click, possibly resulting in lower fare offers.
If possible, cytric first offers a fare break point resulting in two separate tickets for the individual flight segments that might be lower than a through-rate with one ticket.
Display of Connection Airports for DynaWeb™ Options
11/07/2010
Up to now, solely the symbol [1] was displayed as an indicator for a stop. With the new cytric version a mouse over above this symbol displays the connecting airport.
With the new cytric Release the cytric Administrator can assign the Type of the Approval System in the Basic Approval System to a Trip Purpose selected during the booking workflow. For example, bookings with the Trip Purpose "Trip with External Customer" can be transmitted to the Approval System as "Pre-Approved", whereas bookings with the Trip Purpose "Internal Meeting" can be set always to "To Be Approved", therefore requiring a special approval.
Directly related to the above described enhancement of assigning a type of the Approval System to a Trip Purpose, cytric was modified with the new Release R10 to the effect that a Trip Purpose cannot be changed after completing a booking.
With the Approval System in place in general the following applies: if an existing booking is modified and subsequently displayed in the system, a new approval must be given, if the Type of the Approval System is activated as "To be Approved". The Approval System takes effect even if a ticket was issued by the Fulfillment Partner already, as soon as a change was detected by the system, regardless if the change is made by the Partner Travel Agency. In the settings for the Basic Approval system the cytric Administrator can define whether the status of bookings for which a ticket has been issued should be set to "Approved" automatically.
LIMIT THE NUMBER OF BOOKINGS TO ONE, IF THE EXTERNAL SYSTEM TRANSMITS AN EXTERNAL REFERENCE
11/07/2010
With the new cytric Release R10 cytric offers the possibility to limit the number of possible flight and rail bookings (integrated Rail Provider) within a cytric session to one throughout the whole system.
In order to facilitate the search for a pick-up location, with the new cytric version 10.0 the cytric user has the possibility to display the rental car locations on the cytric map and to directly select the station for pick-up or drop-off from the map.
With the new cytric Release 10.0 a new search functionality for car hire locations is provided on the "Car Hire Selection and Booking - Vendor Locations" page other than the previous selection of car hire locations through a drop down list.
Some companies wish to steer users to specific car hire vendors at specific locations, e.g. at airports or at train stations. In the Cube Channel™ Settings for car hire the cytric Administrator can define for each channel (only applicable for VDA providers) which car hire locations should be displayed in the location list.
At the request of many Travel Arrangers, Travel Managers and especially many Support Agents the functionality of the GDS PNR history will be available with the new Release 10.0 in cytric
With the new cytric Release 10.0 new user roles will be available which include access to the Travel Management System, yet do not allow changes to the TMS settings. Thus, settings can be checked but not be modified.
